When Ganesha Comes Home...He never really leaves

Turmeric Ganesha made by my husband Yogesh

When Ganesha Comes Home.....He never really leaves

There’s magic in the air before He comes.

The house awakens to bells and drums.

Flowers bloom, and little lamps glow.

“Bappa is coming home!” we know.

The kitchen hums with sweets galore:

Modaks, laddoos and one more.

Incense rises, rich and sweet.

Joy dances through each lane and street.

Then Bappa comes, what wondrous light!

Our little home shines warm and bright.

With folded hands and hearts set free,

We welcome Him with love and glee.

Morning prayers. Evening flame.

Every corner echoes His holy name.

Aarti, laughter, family cheer,

Somehow, somehow, He feels near.

For ten sweet days, sometimes eleven,

Our home becomes a little heaven.

Friends arrive, and families meet;

Prayer and laughter fill the street.

And I know He lives in earth and sky,

In every breath, in you and I.

The Lord has always been everywhere;

Yet these few days, we feel Him there.

Or perhaps it isn’t He who draws near;

Perhaps our hearts now see more clear.

For God was never far away,

We simply feel Him more each day.

But then comes the day we dread the most,

The day we wish would never draw close.

Since childhood, we have tried to delay

The moment we must send Him away.

One final flower. One Aarti flame.

One final calling of His name.

The hearts that welcomed Him with cheer

Now tremble softly through a tear.

But can the Infinite ever leave?

Can Ananta go because we grieve?

Can He who fills all space and time

Be bound within one sacred form?

Anaadi. Ananta. Without end.

Not one who comes, nor one we send.

The form dissolves before our eyes;

The Tattva lives, it never dies.

Perhaps Visarjan comes to teach

The truth we struggle still to reach:

That all we hold so close and tight

Must one day leave our sight.

We too arrive. We laugh. We stay.

We love. We live. Then pass away.

Like Ganesha merging with earth and sea,

We too return to eternity.

So love those dear while they are near.

Love without condition, doubt, or fear.

For love was never meant to bind,

But leave its lasting light behind.

The murti melts. The flowers part.

But Bappa never leaves the heart.

For He neither comes nor goes away.

He was. He is. He will stay.

So when we cry, “Come soon next year!”

Perhaps He smiles: “I’m already here.”

In every breath, in all we see,

In you, in me, eternally.

And when the drums grow still at last,

And tears fall softly as moments pass,

We lift our hands, our hearts, our voice,

For love remains, and we rejoice.

He was. He is. He will stay,

In every heart, through every age,

The eternal light, the timeless way.

The Feminine Spirit of the Ramayana A Legacy of Strength, Wisdom and Grace

The Feminine Paradigm of the Ramayana - Reflections, Resilience and Values

The Feminine Spirit of the Ramayana - A Legacy of Strength, Wisdom and Grace

The Ramayana is not alone
A tale of kings and war;
Its women shine through every age,
Like many a guiding star.

In Sita lives a quiet strength,
A courage calm and deep;
Through forest paths and trials of fire,
Her dignity she keeps.

Urmila waits in silent love,
Her sacrifice unseen;
She shows that strength may dwell within
The spaces in between.

Kaushalya carries grief with grace,
Sumitra counsels right;
They teach that wisdom steadies hearts
Through every troubled night.

In Shabari’s humble offering
Pure love finds its place;
No wealth, no rank, no grand display,
Just faith and boundless grace.

Ahalya rises from the past,
Her spirit born anew;
She speaks of hope, forgiveness too,
And strength to journey through.

Wise Tara warns with clarity,
Mandodari pleads for peace;
Their voices tell a timeless truth:
Let pride and anger cease.

Even Kaikeyi’s troubled choice
Reflects the human mind;
How fear can cloud a loving heart
And leave regret behind.

These women were not merely threads
Within another’s tale;
They were the conscience of their age,
Unshaken by the gale.

Reflection gave their wisdom depth,
Resilience made them strong;
Their values lit the path of truth
When power chose the wrong.

The feminine in Ramayana
Is neither frail nor still;
It is compassion joined with strength,
And grace united with will.

Across the ages, hear them speak;
Stand gentle, brave and true;
For every woman holds the light
To shape the world anew.

JUST LEAVE IT

✨ JUST LEAVE IT ✨

All your days you stood strong, you gave and you bore

Always the helper, the solver, the shore.

When others would stumble, you carried their weight,

And your first thought was always: I’ll figure it out, it can wait.

But life gently whispers, through seasons and tides

Not everything needs to be fixed, or explained, or tied.

Not every burden was meant for your hands to retrieve.

Sometimes the truest of wisdom is simply: Just Leave It.

If they’ve heard your voice once, and they still turn away

Do not break your spirit to make them obey.

Convince them twice, then release, and believe

If they still will not see it… Just Leave It.

When your children grow tall and choose roads of their own

Love lights their way, but let grace be their throne.

Guide them with kindness, then step back and breathe

Choice is their birthright. Just Leave It.

If your heart cannot meet theirs, no matter how you try

Not every frequency reaches every sky.

Forcing connection will only grieve

Where harmony fails you… Just Leave It.

Let the critic’s sharp words pass over your head

Peace is a treasure too precious to shred.

You’ve walked many winters, you’ve woven your wreath

Why dim your own sunshine for someone’s belief? Just Leave It.

When the outcome lies far beyond where you can reach

Stop worrying, dear heart, it is not yours to teach.

What is written will happen, though you may not perceive

The hand that holds stars knows. Just Leave It.

When the weight of expectation bows down your chest

When “more than you can carry” becomes the request

Release the pressure, let your spirit reprieve

You are enough, as you are. Just Leave It.

Walk your own journey, at your own gentle pace

Do not measure your harvest by another’s grace.

Different strengths, different seasons why grieve or conceive?

No flower is less because it does not bloom like the rose. Just Leave It.

You carry a wealth that no loss can erode

The priceless gold of experience, the grace on your road.

Why weigh daily gains against what you believe?

Your worth is already held .....Just Leave It.

Whatever unfolds is woven by His design

Not a breath, not a leaf, nor a moment outside.

Accept what you cannot change, improve what you can

And surrender the rest to Lord's hand.

And if these words do not speak to where you abide

Then take them gently, and set them aside.

One last truth, and then silence complete:

If this message is not yours… Just Leave It.

When Nature Speaks — A Prayer for Nepal

When Nature Speaks — A Prayer for Nepal

We scar the hills, we fell the trees,

We warm the earth, pollute the seas.

Nature whispers before she roars,

Through melting snow and swollen shores.

And Nepal wept beneath the rain,

Homes swept away, lives torn by pain.

Grieving hearts looked to the sky,

“If God is there, then tell us why?”

Some questions have no answers here,

Some losses shake our faith with fear.

Yet miracles rose from despair,

Lives were saved when hope seemed rare.

Against all odds, some lived to tell,

Through raging waters, they survived the swell.

When hope seemed lost beneath the grey,

Life, like a miracle, found its way.

Perhaps the floods remind us too,

What we do to Earth returns anew.

Respect her rivers, hills and trees,

For humankind cannot command the seas.

So while we’re here, let kindness grow,

Plant trees whose shade we may not know.

Protect the rivers, earth and air,

For what we love deserves our care.

Let progress never mean we take

Until the earth begins to break.

Let mountain, river, tree and sea

Remind us we are one, not three.

For nature is not ours to own,

This earth was never ours alone.

We came as guests and ought to learn

To leave some green when we return.

Love while you can, forgive, be kind,

Leave gentle footprints behind.

For when our journey here is through,

What lives beyond is the good we do.

May Nepal heal, may Nepal rise,

May hope return to grieving eyes.

May God embrace this wounded land,

And help Nepal once more to stand.

May Nepal rise beyond the rain,

May grieving hearts find strength again.

And may these waters leave behind

A deeper wisdom for mankind.

EMBRACE THE FLOW

EMBRACE THE FLOW

This is a truth that grounds the soul

A philosophy that makes us whole

To take love in, wherever it grows

And let its warm current freely flow

From friends who stand through thick and thin

From family where our roots sink in

From passions that set our hearts ablaze

Or quiet pride in life’s own ways

Each drop of love, no matter where it starts

Fills up our cup and mends our heart

It builds us up with joy so bright

And gives us strength to stand and fight

For when we open wide our door

To love that flows from every shore

We grow in grace, we learn to bend

And find the resilience we need to mend

It turns the ordinary into gold

Makes stories worth being told

Each moment touched with care and grace

Becomes a warm and lasting space

So let love flow through every part

Awaken joy within your heart

This simple way to walk through life

Will carry you through storm and light

MY GLOW IS MINE

 ✨ MY GLOW IS MINE

You talk about filters on all of my clips,

Like I’m hiding behind edited pics.

But here’s the truth; simple and clear,

No filter can create what doesn’t live here.

It can smooth the skin, brighten the face,

But it cannot give a soul its grace.

Because real beauty doesn’t begin outside,

It lives in the heart you choose to guide.

In a mind at peace, in a spirit that’s kind,

In the strength to leave draining energy behind.

If your soul is heavy, it always shows,

No matter how perfect the picture glows.

But when your heart is clean, your intentions pure,

There’s a light in you that feels so sure.

It shows in your smile, your words, your way,

In the calm you carry every day.

No filter can build it, no edit can fake,

It’s a glow from within that nothing can shake.

So say what you want, I won’t pretend

My beauty is real, it comes from within.

Because when your soul is pure… you glow. ✨

Peace belongs to you

☮PEACE BELONGS TO YOU

We spend our days

polishing our words,

straightening our posture,

editing ourselves

for an imagined audience.

But the ones we try to impress

are only a handful

some who love us regardless,

some who judge us no matter what.

And beyond them

there stretches a vast sea

of silent faces,

neither for us nor against us,

simply passing by.

Yet we burn ourselves

for the warmth of a few opinions

while ignoring

the cool stillness

of the indifferent many.

Let them watch, or not.

Let them praise, or not.

Their gaze is theirs

our peace is ours.๐Ÿ™

To My Hardworking Husband

To My Hardworking Husband

Each morning with the sunrise, you rise and face the day,

With strength, with love, with courage guiding your way.

Through hours long and weary, your spirit stays so true,

Each selfless act you give is love in all you do.

Your hands may bear the marks of work, both strong and kind,

A symbol of devotion, of heart and soul combined.

You’ve built for us a home, a haven safe and warm,

A shelter filled with love that weathers every storm.

I’m proud of you, my love, your courage shines so bright,

You lift me when I falter, you are my steady light.

I trust you with my dreams, my soul, my heart’s embrace,

Forever grateful, blessed by your endless grace.

And every day I choose you, as you have chosen too,

My husband, my protector—my love, my life, it’s you.

It Was Never About the Big Things

๐Ÿ’ซIT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE BIG THINGS

And one day, you realise,

it was never about the big things.

It was always the little moments

that felt like magic. ✨

The simplest seconds that made you smile.

The genuine experiences that filled your heart with quiet joy.

No filter there, no thought too deep,

Just laughter crashing in a heap.

It was the conversations that restored your faith in kindness and compassion.

The hugs you wished would last a little longer.

The people who felt like sunshine. ☀️

They warmed my world and made it shine.

It was the stillness, the peace, the soft reminders

of how beautiful this world can be.

A bloom, a breeze, a drifting leaf,

Each moment brief, yet full belief.

In the morning light that warmed your spirits

how your favourite song came on at just the right time.

The laughter that lingered,

long after the moment had passed.

Warm hands wrapped around a cup of tea,

laughter drifting through an open window,

the soft weight of a blanket

on a sleepy afternoon.

A handwritten note,

a look that said “I understand,”

a stranger’s smile

on a heavy day.

It was the hands you held,

the tears someone gently let you cry,

the quiet strength

of simply being there.

The comfort of silence

with someone who needs no words,

and the joy of knowing

you are loved exactly as you are.

The way someone remembered your favourite flower,

or checked in

when your heart felt heavy.

The quiet “I’m here,”

without needing to say a word.

The shared silences

that spoke volumes.

The soft “good morning” texts

that made you feel thought of.

The tiny gestures;

a glance, a smile, a touch,

that reminded you

you were never alone.

It was in the memories

made in ordinary moments;

the ones you hold onto

when everything else fades.

It was never about the big things. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿงฟ

It was always the little ones;

the ones that meant everything.

The ones that still do.

Guru Purnima Reflections - Ode to my Gurus

๐ŸŒ• Guru Purnima Reflections ๐ŸŒ•

On 10th July, we celebrated Guru Purnima — a sacred day to honour the wisdom and grace of our Gurus.

As an offering of gratitude, I bow first to my Mother and Father, my very first Gurus who shaped my values.

I then offer my heartfelt pranams to all my spiritual Gurus —

Swami Chinmayanandaji, Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, Avdhoot Shivanand Ji, Brahmakumari Shivaniji, Guru Premanandji Maharaj, Shri Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj, and most recently, Guru Satyendranathji of Nasik — each of whom has illuminated my life in unique and profound ways.

But Gurus come in many forms — our friends, strangers, even our children. Life constantly teaches us through every interaction. We only need the humility to learn.

As a humble offering, I wrote this poem ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

๐Ÿ•Š️ Ode to My Gurus ๐Ÿ•Š️

In shadows deep where doubts reside,

A gentle hand, a steady guide.

From “gu” — the darkness, “ru” — the light,

A guru’s touch turns wrong to right.

In silent steps or thunder's roar,

My Gurus came to open doors.

With words or glances, smiles or tears,

They whispered truth beyond the years.

My mother told me tales of God,

My father taught each sacred chant.

From chants and questions, deep and true,

A divine light within me grew.

They taught me not just mantras old,

But how to love, to trust, be bold.

To seek the self in all around,

And stand in peace on shaky ground.

My Gurus, Not just a teacher, but a flame,

That kindles the soul beyond mere name.

With wisdom deep like ancient seas,

They help us shed our fears with ease.

Some wore robes, some walked unseen,

Some were stern, and some serene.

Some were storms, and some the breeze,

But all helped bring my soul to ease.

Through winding paths of spirit’s quest,

They lead us onward, never rest.

A beacon bright when nights grow long,

In their embrace, we find our song.

I bow to them, both near and far,

Each one a guide, a living star.

For in their grace, I found my way —

A heart that learns, each blessed day.

A sacred bond, both strong and true,

Of trust and grace between me and you.

More than knowledge, love imparts,

The key that unlocks restless hearts.

In every heart the light does gleam,

Awakened by the guru’s dream.

A guide, a friend, through dark and sun,

Until our journey’s whole and done.
